I do not think it is a good idea to delete earlier messages for any reason.
Also it would not serve the purpose because once something is on the
maillist, they are also in recipients in-boxes.


When looking at msgs, if in the mind of the writer, good motives are behind
them, then temporary hurt may be over in a short time. Many times, we do not
know how much good a msg may have done to someone, while it may have caused
temporary discomfort.
