Anand, At the time there were many theosophists who were sceptical of
JK as World Teacher - this idea was solely pushed by Annie Besant
and Leadbeater - so it is at their feet (the then leaders) and not at theosophists feet
that the blunder lay.

All theosophists have learnt that one does not challenge the leadership and hope
to remain a theosophist.   All dissenters have been forced to leave.

All remarks have to be seen in the context of when, where, to who, etc.

K was not above making contradictory claims about his metaphysical status.

Easy conclusions can not be drawn.

Prof. Catherine Wessinger says
"He (J.Krishnamurti) told a friend I don't give a damn about World Teacher and he wondered why they had picked him."
and
"He made it clear that he was not the world teacher, not the messiah"
It appears that Theosophists are wrongly calling J. Krishnamurti World Teacher, when Krishnamurti himself made it clear that he was not the World Teacher.
