It is Partly due to propaganda and brainwashing.
And due to historical events of the past like mass-murdering people on the American continent, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico and even USA. And for instance due to slave-trade on the African coast in the name the holy Roman Church in Medieval ages. Not to mention the Crusades against the Kathars and Muslims etc. etc. The lastet attempt being the Bombing of Iraq and the delivery of the Staff of Moses to the Pope.
