An Interesting Episode

Recently I had a very interesting message from a theosophist from across the
globe, discussing irresponsible disparaging comments from another
theosophist in the cyberspace about the poor and needy brothers and
sisters.

For an organization that prides itself on its main object - Brotherhood and
the Motto - There is No Religion Higher Than Truth, such statements are
totally unacceptable. The comments were elitist and the theosophist was so
angry as to consider leaving TS after nearly four decades of membership. I
have tried to dissuade the member from leaving. I do not know how many such
instances are there which has run off good members at a time when the
membership is dwindling and we need them badly.

What this points to is that everyone of us need to be extra-ordinarily
sensitive to wide implication of the Motto and main Object of TS act
accordingly in our day to day life so that we do not run off good members
who are here to share the invaluable theosophical truths.

We all need to practice what we try to preach.
