News from Greece is very scanty here but I hear the riots have also begun in Thessaloniki - I believe that with the worldwide economic situation we will see more of these riots throughout the world - as people lose their income they look to blame governments for it - perhaps there is no change without rebellion - keep safe

Dear Cass,

The trigger of this situation was the murdering of Alexandros Grigoropoulos, which took place last Saturday evening. He was shot on the heart by a police officer in Greece. Of course people were not happy with the government, because of a series of scandalous, also the economic crisis etc. Adding all this together resulted on what we are witnessing.
