AN OPEN LETTER TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF TSA 


An Open Letter To The Board of Directors of The Theosophical Society In America 

ISSUES WHICH MUST BE ADDRESSED 


Dear Fellow Theosophists; 

Greetings & Respect; 

By now I am sure that your are aware of the controversies caused by the secretive and unwise actions of a few of our noted Leaders which have outraged and dis-illusioned many of our members both here in the United States and around the world. Their actions have caused a breach of Trust and have cast a Dark Cloud over the Theosophical Society. 


We cannot hide from this issue and pretend that it did not occur. IF healing is to occur and confidence to be restored action to acknowledge and address this unfortunate situation must occur. 


I am suggesting that you as The Board of Directors immediately open a nationwide dialogue among TSA members and solicit the suggestions, ideas and opinions of the membership as how best to respond to this 
Crisis, and how best to attempt to insure that a similiar incident never occurs again. 


The Theosophical Society has always been a "True Democracy" and there is Great Wisdom in the Collective Mind of the Membership. 
Everyone who wants to offer their suggestions must be heard. The results of this Dialogue must be published and shared so that the membership has the opportunity to know the consensus. 

Keep the forum open for 4 or 5 months from now, collate and tabulate the information recieved, and share the results. This should be adequate time for members to give serious thought and intelligent response. 


As Directors you have a serious moral responsibility for the Good Name, Trust, Confidence and overall health of the TSA. We hire you and entrust you with this great charge. We are just requesting that you live up to your responsibilities. 


I know that there are a plethora of ideas from the membership to consider, and I hope that my fellow members will speak up and voice theirs. 


Here I offer a few of my own: 


1. A policy of transparency be immediately implemented regarding the administrative matters of the TSA, excluding of course personnell issues. 

2. That the administration be forbidden to implement major changes or decisions without first soliciting a consensus of the membership, AND that the administration be bound to honor the consensus. 

ie: How many members agree with the removal of our beloved T.S. Seal from the website and TSA letterhead? 


You cannot remain silent and do nothing, silence equals complicity and a betrayal of the Sacred Trust we have given you. 


IF we are to Heal and restore Trust & Confidence and remove the Dark Cloud which has been cast over us we must act now, or the TSA will continue to dwindle and die a slow death. 


Transparency brings Trust & Confidence with it. 

Trust & Confidence bring G-R-O-W-T-H, 
Healthy Growth and Expansion.

Ponder these Truths awhile in The Silence. When your time is up... 

4. See a Golden Rose Brilliant Light spreading out and enveloping ALL Theosophists all over the world. KNOW that you have set Powerful Healing Forces to work for the Good. 

5. Resume your normal daily activities.
