Now India has one General Secretary in the General Council. There was a
time, India had four General Secretaries in the General Council representing
NE, NW, Central and Southern Regions of India.

Elephant in the room is an idiom saying we are ignoring a very important
obvious fact.  An elephant sitting in your living room is something that you
cannot just ignore.
