I know. It's very out of character and I have to stop it before I'm accused
of being a serious person and there goes the public image.
I know these things have happened before and yes, at one level it is
fascinating, certainly for me as a student not only of history but of politics, but
one of the things I've most loved about the Adyar society is the incredible
mixture of people it has and which I fear will be lost if it blows itself to
bits.
As far as Theosophy being disseminated, I don't think that happens very much
any more if only because no one can agree on what Theosophy is. (And I have
a sneaking suspicion that even the founders had no idea and were sort of
just making it up as they went along.)

I thought you would be saying, "now the good times are just
beginning"!!be
What's happened to you??? :)
I must say as a researcher of the history of the modern Theosophical
Movement for many years that all of this turmoil in the last 6
months ---first with the election of the international president and
now with these proposed rule changes --- is quite an interesting
series of events to watch and observe.
And it could even get more serious with sections breaking away from
Adyar.
But things like this have happened before. Remember when in 1894-
1895 Judge and Besant/Olcott were going at it and the American
Section split off and the Esoteric School was split up. If Judge,
Besant and Olcott could have cat fights...why not now??
And a number of years ago the Canadian Section of the Adyar TS
was "kicked" out. et. etc.
And in the meantime is Theosophy being popularized and disseminated
to the public and to inquirers and future students?
