TS - Where are all the leaders?

Whenever there is an election, many well known "theosophists", many of them
have held offices in the past, wants their name to be associated with the
candidates with the sole purpose of influencing gullible newbees into
supporting their favorite candidate. While it is the birthright of every
human being to express their opinions freely and fearlessly, it is also
their duty to speak up when serious issues come up. It is then an
opportunity comes to use all their head learning into practice and action.
When you and me take a stand openly and publicly, we are going to make many
in positions of power angry and unhappy and we may see a backlash in
unexpected ways, since all are human and human failures are to be expected.

At the current juncture where disenfranchisement and other illegal changes
are planned, the only people who have come out openly in support of them are
the Quartet and some of those whose bread and butter depends on being in
good books of their employers.

Where are all the leaders? Why have they not come out and spoken about where
they stand and why? Being silent only brings down their credibility and next
time they lecture you and me, we know that we cannot place much credence
what they say.

It is very interesting to watch from the angle of an ordinary member who has
no official vested interest.
