Anand,

Not surprisingly you have focused on the passages which appear to
discredit HPB hence your repeat the cry of 'HPB's mistakes corrected
by the Masters'.

If you care to read the actual words of the Master in the letter
Daniel qoutes you will see the Master is NOT referring to HPB but to
the mistakes of other theosophists that have been corrected in the
Secret Doctrine  written by HPB. He confirms that such corrections by
HPB were not according to her own personal views but were done under
Master's instruction. Read what the Master actually writes:

"I have also noted, your thoughts about the 'Secret Doctrine.' Be
assured that what she has not annotated from scientific and other
works, we have given or suggested to her. Every mistake or erroneous
notion, corrected and explained by her from the works of other
theosophists was corrected by me, or under my instruction. . . .
K.H."

In other words the corrections to other theosophists works that HPB
made in the Secret Doctrine were done either by the Masters
instruction or directly by Himself.

Such mistakes of "other theosophists" arose largely out of Sinnett's
"Esoteric Buddhism".  These are referred to in the first few pages of
the Introductory of the Secret Doctrine.  In addition, a whole section
was also devoted in the Secret Doctrine to correcting these mistakes
and othes under the heading "Theosophical Misconceptions".

One important mistake had to do with the life wave on other planets,
especially Mars, which Leadbetter continued to perpetuate even after
the Master had corrected it.  Despite the fact that the Master stated
that Mars was in obscuration ie in a state of Pralaya (meaning the
live wave is at rest, there being no active live on Mars at any level)
 Leadbeater professed to see civilisations on Mars living comfortably
in the equatorial lands where, according to CWL,  there is plenty of
water and flowers in abundance and the canals are full of water. In
fact the towns are more like garden cities.  Martians are about 5feet
tall, made up of brunnettes and blondes, they walk about mainly
barefooted etc etc etc..

Leadbeater claimed his decriptions of the martians and their life came
from his clairvoyant observations and from visiting the planet to
speak with them.   What a shame for the Master KH that he didn't
consult with Leadbeater before stating that in His view, and
presumably that of His Brothers, Mars is in pralaya.

You tell us again and again that Masters corrected HPB's mistakes in
The Secrete Doctrine. But what happened to mistakes she obviously made
in her other writings like Isis Unveiled, Key to Theosophy, large
number of her articles in magazines published by the TS ? Those
mistakes are still there. Daniel, why don't you warn readers of HPB's
writing that mistakes in other writings are not corrected ?
