About the Secret Doctrine.
I say No.
That is not a true statement.
The Secret Doctrine was definitly given from a higher source of knowledge than Gurdijeff's wellmeant initiative.

nope, Gurdjieff, but the titles escape me at the moment.? I tried reading one of them 30 years ago and it made the Secret Doctrine look simple by comparison.

Krishnamurti nor Gurdgieff ever wrote anything as far as I know.? People surrounding him were drawn to his philosophy of life which he shared with others, note shared not taught.?

I do not consider J. Krishnamurti a Guru or a teacher.
As he said, no Guru or teacher is needed, not even him.
I do not need nor want J. Krishnamurti as a teacher or Guru.

If no teachers, Guru's are needed, then J. Krishnamurti is not needed.
Why does Krishnamurti even write if he says that teachers are not needed?

  interesting thread on Krishnamurti.

I note that first he says he is not a teacher then he turns around and attempts to teach.

As for books being sold in bookstores, this just as well could be a measure of how stupid people are. That is, many thousands of books are sold which are to me trash and I would never buy them.

To measure truths by head counts, what is this?
If one person believes the belief x is in error and 999 people believe belief x is the truth, what then is the truth. Is a thing true just because a clear majority believe it is true?
