Annie Besant did the full circle and went from Theosophy back to Christianity.  If Theosophy has to pander to Christians then it is merely being pimped.  If Christians are not ready for Blavatsky then better to let the dog wag the tail rather than the tail wag the dog.  Since when did Theosophy become missionary?

But did you try to disseminate theosophy among them and what's their
reaction?
Here in Russia they are hostile to any kind of theosophy, and attempts
to give them Leadbeater's version or Heindel's rosicrucianism normally
fail. Here the Roerich's version of theosophy is popular, where Christ
and some saints are praised and importance of prayer is emphasized,
nevertheless they regard it just another kind of satanism. They say
that it's the Devil just puts christian garments on.
I think that the most real path for a Christian to theosophy is that
which Annie Besant has trodden: from total disappointment in
Christianity through atheism and then to theosophy.
