The American section bylaws allow a president to be elected to 3, 3 year terms. Dora VanGelder Kunz was the last American president to be in office for more than 9 years, she was president for 12.

democratic system as a model for T.S. But the said rule was introdiced
later.

I also thought so but there was one exception: Jinarajadasa died
shortly after his term was over.
