A HIGHER STANDARD OF ETHICAL CONDUCT
Every member of the Theosophical Society
has the RIGHT to FULL, ACCURATE and UNEDITED information concerning
elections and other important matters concerning The Society.
>From the recent happenings concerning the
Presidential Elections it appears that certain
individuals have arrogated to themselves
the "responsibility" of shielding the membership from certain important
information "for our own good" of course. How dare they hide critical
information from the membership!
The Theosophical Society does NOT empower Anyone to assume dogmaic or
dictatorial authority. In a Democratic organization the informed
membership makes decisions by
vote. IF the voting members are denied critical information to make
informed choices, then
the process has been compromised and skewered......the process is
thereby "Tainted,"
and can in No wise be considered fair.
In the American Section right now we have a Crisis of Credibility and
lack of Integrity.
We have recieved inormation from a reliable
member , Mr.Pedro Oliveria, that physicians certificates regarding Mrs.
Radha Burniers'
health were sent to All National Secretaries of
the Theosophical Society. The members of the
American Section, have been denied access to this information and know
only what was written in a political note by the National President
promoting the election of Dr. John Algeo.
I think that any objective person or court of competant jurisdiction
would agree that it
appears that the whole process has been compromised and skewered.
Not only has the election process been tainted,
but a crisis of credibility has resulted from this
deceit.
WHOM CAN WE TRUST???
Does anyone Really think that the perpetrators of this deceit can be
looked to for Spiritual or Inspirational information...Please lets' not
beg the question. Those who engage in these type of activities are
exhibiting a moral & spiritual bankruptcy.....How can anyone look to
them?
ACTION IS NEEDED ....RIGHT NOW!
IF the credibility and organizational integrity of the American Section
is to be restored to a level that members can once again rely on their
leadership an investigation is warranted.
ACTION REQUESTED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL: and/or ELECTION COMMITTEE
1 To invalidate ALL ballots from the American scetion. because the
electioneering process has been skewered and compromised.
2. To Form an Investigating Committee and/or hire an independent
auditor to investigate the
actions of the National President and officers of the American Section
regarding the withholding of information from the membership.
And any other anomalies of administration.
3. To make the results of this investigation known to the general
membership.
4. During the investigation process to suspend the National Officers and
have an inteim administration in place.
IT IS CRITICAL THAT TRUST AND INTEGRITY BE RESTORED.
As Theosophists we enjoy and cherish diverse opinions, viewpoints, and
freedom of conscience, however I think that we All do
agree to strive to and expect a "Higher Lever of Ethical Conduct",
especially from our leadership.
