Members in the United States received a letter by US Mail from the National
President(Secretary is called President in the US) informing them of the
upcoming elections and encouraging them to vote for Algeo because of the
poor mental and physical condition of the current International President
Radha Burnier.

For a letter coming from the National Leader, members pay attention and
importance and tend to attach a lot of credibility to the statements of the
National Leader of the TS (whose Motto is "There is No Religion Higher than
Truth".) This is the first time ever in the history, that members got a
personal election solicitation letter from the National Head.

Lo and behold, when I turned on the computer, I find a lot of additional
news surrounding the election/electioneering. Couple of days later we find
out that statement contained in the letter regarding the health of Radha
Burnier was erroneous and can be considered misleading and meant to induce
members to vote for Algeo. Two physicians who examined Radha Burnier issued
certificates vouching for her mental and physical fitness.

Members who do not have access to Internet or the maillists, were
totally unaware of this very important development.

A recent message posted here, confirms that on April 18, copies of the
medical certificates were mailed by the Election Committe in Adyar to all
the General Secretaries. The message states:

"Below is the text of the letter the Election Committee of the TS at Adyar
sent, on 18 April 2008, to the General Secretary of the TS in France, with
copies to all General Secretaries of the TS. The letter also attached copies
of the medical certificates issued by Radha Burnier's doctors."

Till today, none of the members have received any notification of the new
facts thus correcting the error in the earlier solicitation letter. So it is
clear that the National President was sitting on these important documents
and information and keeping the members in the dark.

Only conclusion one can reach is that in the enthusiasm of the President to
get Algeo elected, it was found convenient to keep the members in the dark.
This is an insult to the members, including me and if such important info is
kept from members, we have to wonder what other information is kept hidden
from the members for whatever reason. It goes to the core of the issue of
trust in the leadership. Once trust is lost, it is never regained.

It is real pity that this is happening in an organization whose motto  is --
There is No Religion Higher Than Truth.
