Re: Theos-World TS President Elections -- Some Thoughts

To all readers

My views are:

H. P. Blavatsky says:
IS DENUNCIATION A DUTY?
"He who objects to having his views controverted and criticized must not write for Lucifer. " ..."Moreover, we have given good proofs of our impartiality. We published articles and letters criticizing not alone our personal theosophical and philosophical views, but discussing on subjects directly concerned with our personal honour and reputation; reviving the infamous calumnies in which not simple doubts, but distinctly formulated charges of dishonesty were cast into our teeth and our private character was torn to shreds (Vide "A Glance at Theosophy from the Outside", Lucifer for October, 1888). And if the editor will never shrink from what she considers her duty to her readers, and that she is prepared to throw every possible light upon mooted questions in order that truth should shine bright and hideous lies and superstitions be shown under their true colours - why should our contributors prove themselves so thin-skinned?"
( IS DENUNCIATION A DUTY? by H. P. Blavatsky - Lucifer Magazine 1888)

H. P. Blavatsky said:
"The Society founded to remedy the glaring evils of Christianity, to shun bigotry and intolerance, cant and superstition and to cultivate real universal love extending even to the dumb brute".
(The Collected Writings of H. P. Blavatsky, vol. 7, p.246)

Master KH wrote in a Mahatma Letter:
For the opposition represents enormous vested interests, and they have enthusiastic help from the Dugpas -- in Bhootan and the Vatican! (Here is all of Mahtama Letter, No. 55. Dugpas are the same as selfish Magicians.)

Subject: Theos-World TS President Elections -- Some Thoughts

Everyone in the TS knows its Motto - "There is No Religion Higher Than
Truth".

When members were told by the leaders that Radha Burnier's mental and
physical health were such that she will not be able to effectively function
as the President, they knew it was false or should have known to be false.
When the recently, two doctors who examined her certified her to be fit, any
doubts should have been put to rest.

Justice requires all those who put out such false information meant to
mislead gullible and uninformed members to vote for John Algeo, should
recant their earlier opinion - after all it was their opinion and as none is
a physician who has examined her personally.

All these members involved in the nomination activities are supposed to be
long-term members dedicated to the principles and practice of Theosophical
Principles. When you google about theosophy and hypocrisy and injustice, you
will find the following from HPB:

"Above all, the duty of every member is to fight against cant, hypocrisy,
and injustice in every shape.

A derogatory or slanderous statement made against a fellow theosophist in
the presence of a member, shall not be permitted by him to pass without
protest, unless he knows it is true, in which case he should remain silent."

When putting these two side by side, any rookie/novice member who has been
reading what has been going on will wonder if TS is another world wide
religious organization led by hypocritical leaders who do not practice what
they preach. They seem to behave like ordinary men and women who say they
believe one thing and do something entirely different.

The membership of TS as a percentage of world population has been going
down. In this Internet age, when prospective members see what we preach and
what we practice, it is going to have almost fatal influence. Is this what
we members and leaders want?

I just wanted to share some of my thoughts since I think what is going on is
going to negatively affect the organization for years to come, unless we
quickly set things right and demonstrate we practice what we preach. It is
that simple.
