Hi MKR,

I assume from your response that the TS is accustomed to electing its 
officers, or at least its presidents, and therefore campaigning is 
not unusual within the Society. But what about the bad feelings that 
result from the competition for office? Competition seems to me to 
generate a separating rather than a unifying force. That is what 
seems contrary to the tenets of theosophy to me. Can you enlighten 
me?
