Re: Theos-World Election of the next president of TS

Maybe it is not only about physical age, HPB was so highly spiritual already.
Maybe old presidents can bring some deep levels among us. But yes they
were pretty creative and courage and young minded.
I have heard that HSO was in his late years still fresh minded.
I have heard that he said that he still felt like 18 years old within himself at his 70´s, so wonderful is theosophy, he said. I have also heard that he was great in imitating birds or maybe even other animals and used to amuse children with his funny and
extraordinary talent.

Kim Dieu could be also good choice for coming president in future,
but she is not so popular in USA than in Europe. I belive she could
stand the weather at Adyar as she has born in Vietnam. She is a chairman of
European Federation of TS.

About an year ago people sopke at Adyar that P. Krishna could be one good choice. In the end he didnt want to, I think. Also some members thought out loud in more or less
private meetings that Dr. Ravindra could be good choice too...

Thanks for the information.

While both are excellent choices, I would like to see a younger
President one of these days. Historically if you look at organizations
headed by young leaders -- upto middle age -- they indicate growth. Even
when TS was started in 1875, both HPB and HSO were in the prime of their
life. What we need is rapider growth of theosophists -- world population has
been growing; but membership growth is not.

In the old days precipitation was resorted to because they did not have cell phones and internet e-mails. So today, I will not be surprised if the Chelas
are using Internet and cell phones to communicate msgs from their Gurus.
