Re: Theos-World Award for Radha Burnier

Oh, Radha is quite a character.  Around 1950 she had a role in a dreadfully boring movie called, "The River" and if it were not for the fact that she was in it, no one would probably watch it now.  Nothing gets blown up and everyone keeps their clothes on, not worth the price of the ticket.

When she first appeared at Olcott after getting elected, she managed to make such a complete fool of herself that when someone at a lecture asked who she was, he was told that it was just some woman from India who was staying there for a while.  It was all very embarrassing and for several years we referred to her as "our less-than-esteemed international president."  But she finally got used to Americans and our peculiar ways and we sort of managed to get used to her.

Never heard of it. I met her at one time, I found her to be a bit pompous.
