Hello, my name is Katherine Masis and I just joined this group.
Decades ago, I had read several of the "classic" theosophical books by
Annie Besant, C.W. Leadbeater, Jinarajadasa, H.S. Olcott and others. I
had borrowed them from a member of the local T.S. I had also read some
works by HPB, mostly a few chapters out of "Isis Unveiled" and "The
Secret Doctrine."

I practiced Zen Buddhism for about 15 years before I left a certain
center after I finally realized what was going on with the group's
leadership. Enough said about that! I left that group several years
ago, and now I occasionally sit with a local Tibetan group. Lately
I've run into some folks I've known for years who still attend their
local T.S. I'm glad I found out about this group and I'm excited to
read and discuss posts about how the Theosophical perspective fits in
with today's world.
