Re: Theos-World Re: The Coming Teacher?

Hi Cass,
favourites?

Well, this is of course the women way to look at the world.

When I talked about teachers in the Theosophical Movement, I don't wanted it
descend to the emotional level of women and children.
Esotericism is not a matter of having favourites, good emotions and having
favourites, nor is it the sign of a theosophist in good standing to reject
the truth from a source he/she/it personally dislikes.

The qualities of a teacher are facts and not a matter of taste. Either
he/she is a teacher or he/she is not.

Best example is Katherine Tingley, a test and a archetype for future
generations of theosophists, were many promising lay chelas of HPB failed,
because their taste, favour and mind was revolting, because she was forced -
as every other would have been forced in her position at her time and under
her circumstances - to straighten up the desolated and spiritual dead
Theosophical Movement, which was in danger to fall into the clutches of the
enemy and become a psychic movement for astral travellers and atom
splitting.

As this women style of mind, the great slayer, which tries to prevend right
thinking and right action, is a general world problem, even more increasing
since the so-called feminism and emazipation movement of the Rockefeller's
(cp. Aaron Russo), theosophy suffers from women very much.

In fact, every theosophical group is sentenced to death, were women get the
majority and/or the chair. These wise words by Purucker have been proofed
true throughout the history of the Theosophical Movement, which tries to
develop manas instead of killing manas.

As one Masters said, mankind is now in danger that it's one half commits
spiritual suicide.

Yes, Purucker not only stated in the TS about his contacts with Masters, his
pupils had also first hand knowledge of it as it was also the case with the
other teachers.
BTW, this seems to me to be one of the contrasts between a true teacher and
a fake teacher.
Fake teachers merely claim and force you to blind belief. You never get real
proofs.

For that reason Katherine Tingley was so much supported and loved by her
students at a critical time around 1897, when most theosophists have lost
hope and were surrounded by several tries and claims.

She was regarded as the incarnated paraclete and her students got more and
advanced proofs of the gupta vidya and her occult powers on a daily basis as
they never dreamed of.

But Purucker was the first teacher from Shambhala who was allowed after 1891
to speak about his mission and training from the Masters for the work in the
West, for which laid HPB the cornerstones from the 1850'ies on.

Perhaps the books 3 and 4 are discovered, but not public. Perhaps they will
not discovered before the mass is ready.
At present it looks not so.
The present situation at least in the West (Europe-North America) seems a
rapid killing of the spirit, producing the most stupid and uneducated hodge
podge ever.

As soon as ordinary women become enlightened women and men become
enlightened men the Theosophical Movement will be on the save side and the
Masters have reason to give more information.
Since then this information is only "to the few" (I am not included, too).

Thanks for your response Frank, I suppose we all have our favourites. I was
never able to tweak with Judge, don't ask me why, nothing to do with what he
had to say, just a personal difference. Purucker I enjoy, always have, and
find he has the ability to transform difficult occult questions into
relatively simplistic terms.

Did Purucker actually state that he was in verbal contact with the Masters
or was it more that he was inspired by them?

I hope Books 3 and 4 are discovered before its too late for me to read them!

I had another read of the article and it seems to me that 1975 was a big
year in terms of KH contacts. These contacts justified the establishment of
these fringe societies and demean the intelligence of a Master. Why would
any Master be interested in sharing his initiations with anyone? This would
be a strictly private matter and to be shared only with his closest adepts
and chelas. As far as I am concerned there has been no direct contact from
the masters since HPB left this plane.
-----------------------

Cass, so far as I know, HPB handed out her occult business to a successor,
William Judge, and he was in contact with masters. Olcott, too.
There are reports from several mahatma encounters in Point Loma theosophical
community.
Some articles in "The Theosophical Forum" of the 1920'ies and 1930'ies look
as they came from a master.
Purucker declared he was a messenger of the Masters and successor to HPB,
bearing her occult ring.

I guess we have to ask ourself if humanity, theosophy, has improved and
purified its prejudices and dogmatic illusions so that minds are ready for
'the next impulse'. HPB clearly states, without saying, that if this has not
occured then their would be no benefit in a new teacher bringing the next
impulse.
-----------------------
Just so. The masses were not ready at the next impulse after HPB, most
theosophists or rather members of a group included. Coma, mental lazyness
and poppycock and cant until 2007.

I would be happy if Book 4 of the Secret Doctrine could be found. Why don't
the Masters channel that information!!!!
-----------------------

Vols. 3 and 4 will be found "by chance", when the time is ripe.
Masters channell not that information, because a) they are no channelers and
b) they do not know to whom.
