Hippocratis proved that incense(burning) have a certain  way of 
cleaning the air.As well as the Roman Catholics use it to clean the 
negative spheres.
In tempels same.
But it does not solve dust and other stuff .
I have a nice cat, so no mouse will come and eat my basmati.
Last week I bought 3 Ikea mouses, who decorated several places in the 
house.Real beauties to see.
If there is a mouse eating dust, he may come, I will give him 
hospitallity.
