John Carroll on the Existential Jesus

Interesting radio interview.
http://www.abc.net.au/rn/linguafranca/stories/2007/1936292.htm

"John Carroll ran weekly reading groups for ten years at La Trobe
University which discussed the books of the Bible. The Gospel according
to Mark made a profound impression on each group that read it,
redefining Jesus. With enough Greek to read Mark's text in its original
language, John Carroll was able to analyse the meaning of the key words
in it. His re-interpretation of 'sin', 'Holy Spirit' and 'love' offer
us a reinterpretation of the story of Jesus as a very modern figure ?
the Existential Jesus."

Cheers
