I plead guilty for not having done any research on that topic.  I have been wondering whether various pollutants
and genetic modifications of plants might have had something to do with the dissappearances.  And what about
the killer bees that were in the news a while ago?  Did the killer bees kill the honey bees for food?   Anyway I 
know very little about bees in general.
