Hello Friend and all. I wish I could say my view on the subject. I agree with you Perry. It´s a very delicate matter. Just enlarging the subject, imho, the more you are attached to sexuality as much as all the animal processes the less the person can - if we can thus consider something - be considered higher in a "spirituality status" Why? I see it not like a prejudiced measurement, but when a soul starts the spiritual path, the first things that he will deal with are the attachments, the passions and all the processes that links him to the animal the stinctive side, these are all attachments. An evolving soul that has reached the spiritual path will naturally dettach from all the things that pulls him to the opposite side of spirituality. Soul cannot unify Itself with the higher Self while It keeps lower desires as all the animal forces such as infactuation, gluttony...etc and all kinds of exaggerations or fondnesses. Sexuality has nothing of human, it´s organic and animal. As long as we are not prepared to live behind all material knowledge, desires and intelectuality and have an only desire of being impregnated with the divine awareness, we´ll be still linked to Samsara, to the jorney of live and die until we are awakened in a later moment. So, many may say that if, for example, one gives sex a very high status in life, or a sex with the same genre, can not acquire a high spiritual status. Because these are also attachments. And that can be continued from one life to another untill soul has reached a point that is awakened. I gess that´s true. But there is nothing preventing a homossexual of attaining enlightenment in a later life, in which all the sexual needs with are extinguished. The karma law, the prarabdhakarma is very pacient but unfalible. What I also mean that I think that there are many facts that delays human evolving to spirituality, sexuality and homossexuality, lack of compassion, hate, are just examples. Sex has to do with kundalini and there are many sources about the misusage of this force in literature. It seems to me the height of arrogance to imply that homosexuals are inferior as spiritual beings and that being a heterosexual makes us somehow superior. Nature's processes are not always immediately apparent or known by us. Theosophy teaches Compassion and loving all beings, so did the Buddha.
