I think that the right approach to theosophy was laid out by 
Blavatsky in her article "On original programme of the Theosophcal 
Society" and in the notes made by Bowen on the study of the Secret 
Doctrine.

"Wrong" is taking the imperfect and often exoteric exposition for the 
real occult doctrine and for the theosophy as the divine wisdom.
What we have is just "theosophical teaching" in several versions none 
of which even approaches to give theosophy in its fullness.
