There are two editions of Mrs. Josephine Ransom's book on T. S. history. One deals with the history up to about 1935 and the other up to 1950. I read them more than 50 years ago and are good.
Further, the Golden Book of the T.S by Mr. Jinarajadasa is excellent. It deals with the history up to 1925. It is a book that should be reprinted or, if possible, put on the Internet.
Another book of Mrs. Ransom I read is "Indian Tales of Love and Beauty" is very good, especially the foreword by Dr. Besant. Dr. Besant's words high a high level of energy.
Mrs. ransom was appointed as the Vice President. She was the first woman to be designated for that office. Unfortunately, she died before she could start functioning. Thus, Miss Joy Mills became the first woman to be the Vice President and Miss Mary Anderson the second one.
