...to discredit HPB and WQJ.... ????
This is Part 2 of my Comments.
Leon,
You also write:

And why all this bending over backwards and sly, prosecutorial
twistings by leading questions, innuendoes, and other implicative
tricks, apparently to discredit ULT --and, by inference (to those
list members who are not familiar with your personal beliefs) HPB and
WQJ -- since the "spread broadcasting" of their teachings, besides
fulfilling the three Objects of the Theosophical Movement and basing
everything they teach on the three fundamental principles, are the
underlying purposes and ends in view of the United Lodge of
Theosophists as stated in their Declaration?
=======================================================
I ask readers to focus in on your words that read:
=======================================================
...apparently to discredit ULT --and, by inference (to those list
members who are not familiar with your personal beliefs) HPB and
WQJ....
=======================================================
Well, first of all, in my posting I was questioning some of YOUR
statements ABOUT the ULT. Not necessarily the ULT itself.
I would suppose that you or your statements are NOT identical with
the ULT itself.... :)
But I must protest in very strong terms YOUR suggestion [if
suggestion it be] that I am trying to discredit HPB and WQJ even if I
was in fact trying to discredit the ULT [which I am not trying to do
as I stated in my previous posting].
Maybe this is NOT what you are suggesting but because you end your
posting with these words:
"So, what Jesuit or Dugpa ax might you be grinding -- even
unknowingly?...??????? </:o]="
some readers may think or conclude that that is what you are
suggesting.
I am uncertain as to what you are actually trying to communicate in
these quotes....
Nevertheless, I will simply say that I consider myself a student of
the writings and teachings of HPB and her Adept Teachers. PERIOD.
Secondly, unless I am totally mistaken, one need not be a member or
associate of any Theosophical group [not even the United Lodge of
Theosophists!!!] in order to study HPB's writings, to realize the
worth of Theosophy and to hold both HPB and her Teachers in high
regard.
Furthermore, unless I am totally deluded, one may be critical of ALL
the existing Theosophical groups INCLUDING the ULT or at least of
various aspects of all these groups WITHOUT that meaning or implying
that one is ultimately trying to discredit HPB, her teachers and
Theosophy!!!!
I know or have known several serious and devoted students of
Blavatsky's writings and Theosophy who have NEVER been a member or an
associate or any Theosophical group including the ULT.
I will mention but two of them. The late Walter Carrithers, author
of OBITUARY: THE HODGSON REPORT ON MADAME BLAVATSKY and Richard
Robb, the founder of Wizards Bookshelf.
As far as I know neither Walter or Richard have ever been members or
associates of any TS or of the ULT. And it is my impression that
both of them have been quite critical of various aspects of the ULT.
Yet I would hope that you or no other Theosophical student of any
group including the ULT would therefore seriously suggest that they
are therefore "discreditors" of HPB and Theosophy....
