An analogy

In today's newspaper, there was a description of a echo proof room built at
a local research institution. One of the technicians working on it,
mentioned how when one is in that room, it is so quiet and echo less that
one can hear the flow of blood in the carotid.
Traditionally in the East, those working on spiritual/psychic self
development led their lives in remote areas away from the noise and din of
populated areas. By analogy of the above echo less environment, is it
possible that those who live in remote areas such as Tibet, are able to make
themselves very sensitive to the quietness and the peaceful environment has
an effect on them which perhaps may not be put into words.
