Hello Cass,
I tend to think Gnosticism is more fitting perhaps.
The book is a good overview of what you could loosely call `esoteric
Christianity' it looks at various mystics & commentators ranging from
people like Jacob Boehme, Rudolf Steiner, Jung, Mathew Fox even
writings like "A course in Miracles" as well going into Platonic and
Kabalistic ideas, so its fairly broad in its scope but good for
someone interested in looking at Christianity in a more symbolic and
less literal way.
