    Yeah, absolutely right, I think.  
Maybe it is time for Theosophical 
organizations and active individuals 
(like Dan's group or other's) to send 
out free CDs or minimal cost (Why not?) 
Gutenberg online with their 10,000 
e-books has been doing this for years 
(although they won't accept any more 
philosophically or theosophically oriented 
e-books from _me._)

 Those big pdf scanned files are 
great for archiving and referring
to for quotes and accuracy, but they are
terrible for reading. Converting them to
txt / htm that can be formated for ease
of reading also is best.  So each type of
file is valuable.  99% of digital theosophy
is just for reading.  htm or txt files take
1000 times less memory than scanned pdf, so
are the only possibly way to go for general
use CDs and internet, and email.

Recently I was at the lecture of V. Porohova, a
russian woman who has 
adopted Islam and translated Quran into the Russian
(high islamic 
authorities approved this translation).
She and her husband, who is an arab from Syria, also
said the same 
thing about jihad and also that Quran doesn't approve
violent 
convertion to Islam.
