In his book "The Building of the Home",  B. P. Wadia writes:

" ... 'The Vedas declare the Grihastha (one's home) to be the highest Ashrama.  As all streams and and rivers flow to rest in the Ocean, so all Ashramas flow to rest in the House-holder' (VI. 89-90). To build a Home, as it should be built, is to precipitate on earth the Kingdom of the Gods." (1) 

So if there is an alchemy of the individual, there must be also an alchemy of one's intimate and deeper relationships. 

One's home  is the strongest  magnetic centre one has in life, and one should be as conscious as possible about this being really a temple.
