Imaginary or the Documented Version about Crosbie

Mr. Aveline writes:

================================================================
Different versions of history is a healthy thing to live with. The
movement is one, and it has different views. This is what HPB meant
for it: a free debate, with respect and truthfulness.
================================================================

Keeping in mind Mr. Aveline's dictum, let us consider the following.

Below are TWO versions about Robert Crosbie's history:

***The ULT Version:

During the days of struggle between the followers of Katherine
Tingley and her opponents, Robert Crosbie adhered to the Tingley
majority, not because he approved of Mrs. Tingley or her policies but
because he "could only go with the majority if he would not desert
the work built up by the sacrifices of Blavatsky and Judge before
him."

***The Point Loma and Stokes Version

After the death of Judge, Robert Crosbie publicly and privately
expressed his devotion to and supported Katherine Tingley, and this
continued until 1904. In fact, Mr. Crosbie was for eight years an
ardent Tingleyite. Mr. Crosbie was not only heart and soul with Mrs.
Tingley but his "propagandum" was the "propagandum" of Mrs. Tingley.

Now let us try to apply Mr. Aveline's above dictim to these two
versions about Robert Crosbie.

I assume that Mr. Aveline would say that BOTH of these versions are
okay (just fine and dandy) because "different versions of history is
a healthy thing to live with. The movement is one, and it has
different views."

But I ask the reader which version do you prefer? The ULT version or
the other version, the Point Loma and Stokes version?

As far as I know there is NO published evidence whatsover to support
the ULT version. None.

Yet we have the ample evidence of Mr. Crosbie's OWN WORDS that
supports the other version, that is, that "Mr. Crosbie was for eight
years an ardent Tingleyite." See Crosbie's own testimony at:
<http://blavatskyarchives.com/stokes/stokescrosbie.htm>

Personally I accept the Point Loma/Stokes version and reject the ULT
version - not because I am anti-ULT and not because I have a crusade
against ULT - but simply because I accept the evidence, that is, the
evidence of Crosbie's OWN WORDS.

In other words, I accept the version that has evidence to support it
instead of simply believing the "imaginary" version that some ULT
writer cooked up and for which there is no published evidence
whatsoever.

Some food for thought.
