 Different versions of history is a healthy thing to live with. The movement is one, and it has different views.  This is what HPB meant for it: a free debate, with respect and truthfulness.  
 
 J. Ransom, the main Adyar historian for the period up to 1940s, gives us enough informations as to Leadbeater's absurdities and almost-crimes -- just as Mary Lutyens, also a semi-official historian for Adyar (in present times), although her major theme is Krishnamurti.  Of course, Tillett also brings important information "forgotten" by Adyar.  
 
 Outer contrast and inner unity -- that is what makes a Movement.
