Carl,
   Thanks I have read and saved the article link as I subscribe to Space 
Daily the calculator has long been a favorite interest of mine and this latest 
report is the best one yet. One thing they didn't say was that Hipparchus may 
have been on the ship that the Antikethera went down on. They seemed to believe 
it was made by him and I wonder if he would have parted with it as amazing as 
it has recently been found to be.
   To see another ancient genius Google "Hero of Alexandria" there is online 
a site that has pretty much all his inventive creations, whistling model 
birds, fountains of all sorts and much more
