Carlos: "...his various explanations...have scarcely explained anything."

Carlos,
You write:
=====================================================
...Mr. Caldwell still avoids admitting the fact that his various
explanations about Algeo's "Editorial Committee" have scarcely
explained anything. Which, after all, may be a significant fact in
itself -- though not surprising.
=====================================================
>From your above remarks now I see why you appear to be
so disappointed or dissatisfied or unhappy with what I have
written.
You say that my "various explanations...have scarcely explained
anything."
What does the "anything" refer to in your sentence?
It almost sounds like you have EXPECTATIONS or views or
opinions as to what you THINK took place and you are dissatisfied with
my account.
What am I suppose to do, make stuff up just to please your fantasies
or speculations?
What do you want me to say and then I can just agree with what you
say, is that what you were expecting?
Please YOU tell me what really happened if you think you know better
or more.
I'm sorry my narrative is so unexciting. It was all pretty boring
research stuff like I have described.
At the time I didn't know I was suppose to know all about the
workings of the committee, etc., what every member was doing,
sending, so that years later I could answer your questions!!
What did Joy tell you took place since she communicated with you?
I sent material I thought would be helpful, etc. I was happy to do
that. I was not concerned with what the other members were doing. I
was working on many projects of my own and hardly found the time to
contribute to the project under discussion.
