Thanks for your insighful remarks. 

There is a popular saying in Brazil, which I am sure is known everywhere. It says: 

"In a Land of Blind People, one citizen who can see with one eye is the King". 

But lately people use to make a change in it:

"In a Land of Blind People, one citizen who can see with one eye must be most careful about what he will say!". 

Perhaps that's why the path of the search for truth is usually described as requiring not only Viveka (right vision) but also Virya (courage).
