Carlos,
Have you considered that neither Algeo or any Theosophical organization or
Publisher would literally "steal" Coopers Work? Surely they all made use of
competent Legal Counsol who must have given advice based on protecting the best
interests of their client and the observance of the Law?
My interpretation of Tillett's explanation was that Coopers wife, in her
great time of loss and grieving was pressured and prevailed upon by the
Organization and gave in and signed over the "copyright" as legal heir and successor
in spite of the views and reservations that others had or have that might
have been be perfectly justified. But did an actual "theft" that aligns to the
Legal Criteria occur that could be prosecuted and proven with a guilty verdict
given by a Court? I don't see that as the case at this time. That process could
well be repugnant to all of us, but do you really think there was no actual
Legal Basis and Agreement that was signed that transferred Coopers work legally
to another? I think there was, that is the rational thought. No one would be
advised to do anything else by the Legal Dept. they use. I agree that Coopers
work should be fully acknowledged and recognized in it's fullest sense and
that the work be treated as he willed it to be. But in the real world that is
removed from Plato's Ideals, stuff happens you know.
How many times have you directly written to Algeo on this matter and when
was the date of the last time? Isn't he the proper "Target" ? Daniel has
posted his interactive relations and activity on the Committee several times to you
and all others on this Forum and you scrupulously ignore his statements and
continue your attacks as if no words were written by him. Your becoming a "flip
flop" artist maintaining a view of abusing a member here one day and
conveniently mollifying your position when you are proven wrong to save face by
claiming Daniel has changed. As Daniel has indicated it was not a Committee composed
of only himself a fact you continue to ignore as it serves your dialectic
manuals needs. What would contribute understanding in a meaningful way would be
the complete unabridged Signed Release and Agreement of Coopers wife with all
it's stipulations. If Coopers Work was actually stolen then why isn't it in
court? Where is the Cooper Defense Fund? I think many Theosophists would
contribute to it if it existed. Wasn't there a stipulation that no changes be made in
his work whatsoever? That presents the most difficult case possible. I once
had interaction with such a case and it was so impossible I had to retire from
it as it was hopeless.
John
