In his review of the ?The Letters of H.P. Blavatsky -  volume I?,  as published by John Algeo, J. Patrick Deveney mentions a long  and well explained series of editorial mistakes.  And then he says:  
 
?Examples of these minor errors could be multiplied. None of these seriously mars this work, but  I would attribute their presence to the decision not to use the years of research done by John Cooper and to the failure to make this more of a cooperative and collaborative venture by calling on the expertise of  those who were, in fact, the ones who unearthed in  the first place much of the new material  included here.? (1) 
 
It was a poor volume indeed, in Ethics and in editorial work.   
 
Yet  dr. Gregory Tillett says that John Algeo did use Cooper?s work, only without confessing it and while attacking Cooper?s research. 
 
If John Patrick Deveney is involved in the work of Volume II, as I have heard, one might hope that perhaps some improvement will occur, and no unidentified attacks to HPB will be presented to the readers as if belonging to her  own writings, as  this would be unscholarly,  untruthful -- and treacherous.
