Arundale and C.J.

Friends,
This is on behalf of Nov 17.
Sometimes, clairvoyances clash.
In the 1930s, George Arundale ran for international president in the Adyar TS and was able to win over his opponent Ernest Wood. The political fight was relatively strong. During the campaign, though, Arundale said:
"I have several things in common with Ernest Wood, after all. We even happen to have been the same person in our last lives!"
Indeed, both Arundale and Wood thought that in their past lives they had been Ralph W. Emerson.
Adyar TS history has some interesting pages.
During his trips around the world, C. Jinarajadasa often had to hear from people that they had had this or that brilliant past life.
One lady once told C.J. that she had been some extraordinarily powerful and famous person, to which C. J. replied (approximately) :
"My condolences! And what happened to you, then, that you have this life now?"
C.J. had common sense in more than one situation.
Regards, Carlos.
