Daniel's Recommendation about THE VOICE OF THE SILENCE

My recommendation is that inquirers, readers
and students of Blavatksy & Theosophy would do
well to read H.P.B.'s mystical gem THE VOICE OF THE SILENCE
as H.P.B. herself published and authorized it with no
editor (anonymous or otherwise) changing her text.

Kessinger is the only publisher as far as I know that
publishes a photographic facsimile of the original 1889 edition
of the VOICE.

See the Kessinger facsimile at: http://tinyurl.com/nrthz

I recommend the Kessinger edition.

Also the TUP edition is a faithful verbatim reprinting of HPB's
1889 VOICE and is also recommended.

As pointed out by Alice Cleather (I believe) HPB used
a system of caps and italics in the VOICE for special
emphasis and purpose. The Theosophy Company edition
interferes with this by changing caps and italics.
I will find the Cleather quote and post it soon on
Theos-Talk.

[Note: I am not saying that some of the later editions
of the VOICE that have been published are not worthy
of study. For example Ken Small mentioned an edition
that is unfortunately out of print: Adyar 1939 Golden
Jubilee edition that has notes by A.J. Hamerster (Arya Asanga).
Also the Quest Book edition with a Historical Introduction by Boris
de Zirkoff and index is also very helpful.]
