I don't think I can help much.  

But I looked at the address you gave us ( below ) and I saw a sentence by Alice Bailey which is to me profoundly correct:  

"My major life conflict has been the battle between my soul and my personality and that still goes on."

I suspect this is the main conflict (often unconscious), for nearly every human being.  Conflicts with other people (including wars) may be significant;  but they  are all related to this one major conflict going on in human soul and psique.
