=====================================================
The "authority" to start an esoteric group comes "not
from outside authority but from the heart".
=====================================================

Jake,

If we take the above statement as true (however we might
understand it), then let us look at the following scenario about
starting such an esoteric group.

Let's say that in 1973 Glen Spencer, a Theosophical student since
1967, discovered a large cache of original esoteric writings of HPB's.

Two years later he came to a "heart-realization" that he should form
a new private esoteric group: partly to study HPB's esoteric
material and partly to prepare students for service to humanity.

In light of this observation:

================================================
The "authority" to start an esoteric group comes "not
from outside authority but from the heart".
================================================

I assume you wouldn't see any problem with Glen's
decision and course of action. Is that right?

Or would he be violating some standard or principle --- spiritual,
esoteric or otherwise?

(Continued in Part 4).
