=====================================================
The "authority" to start an esoteric group comes "not
from outside authority but from the heart".
=====================================================

Jake,

If we take the above statement as true (however we might
understand it), then let us look at the following scenario about
starting such an esoteric group.

Let's take Victor N., a student of Theosophy.

In 1896, when Judge died and Tingley became the Head of the ES,
Victor faced a "crisis".

He had been a member of HPB's original esoteric school, had accepted
Judge as HPB's successor but for various reasons did not accept
Tingley as Judge's successor.

But believing in HPB's original school and mission, etc., he slowly
came to a "heart-realization" that he should form a new esoteric
group to preserve HPB's esoteric teachings.

Jake, from your initial agreement with Carlos about:

================================================
The "authority" to start an esoteric group comes "not
from outside authority but from the heart".
================================================

I assume you wouldn't object to or see any problem with Victor's
decision and course of action. Is that right?

I mean if he came to some kind of "heart" realization and decided to
found such a private and esoteric group, I assume you wouldn't take
issue with this decision of his?

If you would take issue, I would like to know why but at this
juncture I will assume that you would not take issue with
him starting such a group.

Now Victor also decided that he would share with the future members
of this new group the 5 Esoteric Instructions of HPB.

Would that decision, that is, sharing HPB's Esoteric Instructions
with the members of this new group, be a proper thing to do?

Or would he be violating some standard --- esoteric or otherwise?

I give this example to see what your "thinking" is about the
underlying implications of the statement:

=====================================================
The "authority" to start an esoteric group comes "not
from outside authority but from the heart".
=====================================================

(Continued in Part 3).
