To Carl on HPB & Masonry

Carl,
Thanks.
I apologize if I was unnecessarily emphatic in words. Yet -- I do not remember critizing you as a person.
On the other hand, one can always take offence with various kinds of things.
Or one can give offense unknowingly. Clarifications help.
I see you might be a member of "Le Droit Humaine", which I respect.
My perception ( which does not aim at being insulting but might be received as such by one who is personally attached to his own mental habits, opinions ) -- my perception is limited to the fact that, to put it somewhat in HPB's words, "modern Masonry has nothing to do with modern Theosophy, nor with the disciples of the Masters who founded the theosophical movement." (see another posting of mine earlier today)
I find that "Le Droit Humaine" is very well where it is now -- id est, outside the theosophical movement.
I have Mason friends and have studied with a very positive view the influence of the Masons in the historical process of political independence in Brazil (they had a decisive influence in 1817-1824). And I have written about it.
If that view of mine can offend anyone, this is not my intention, but I still am entitled to discuss the theosophical movement here, I guess.
As to Daniel Caldwell, the story is entirely different.
Only recently he has apparently stopped to slander HPB here at Theos-talk by bringing here all the set of Soloviof's lies and the Coulombs' slanders about her. He has edited one book including outrageous abuses against not only her, but the very Masters and their names, as well.
K. Paul Johnson, the author, who is not a theosophist, and who does not believe in HPB or the Masters (and this is a right of his own), has unmasked some false personifications, some would-be persons who were, or are, in fact, but Daniel Caldwell in disguise. Two of them are "David Green" and "Terry Brown". This has been brought here several times but I realize we have an amount of new members now who did not have a chance to see Paul Johnson's texts on Daniel Caldwell's "work". So perhaps it is time for me to bring them here once more. These false persons were used to make cover attacks against several blanks.
So, the situation with the so-called "Blavatsky Archives Online" is entirely different from yours. I haven't seen a single gesture from you in attack disguised or otherwise against the Masters or HPB.
I must tell you that I used to have a nice and free dialogue-relationship with a well over "30" person in Le Droit all along during their "crisis of separation" from the TS masonry. (In the same year, I dropeed out from the Adyar TS.)
I have reasons not to give too much precision as to the degree of this person. This person was, strange as it may seem, an HPB student AND a high mason and officer in Le Droit Humain. Paradoxes occur. Nobody is perfect.
I agree that there are some positive aspects in modern Masonry -- my only point is that there is no reason to make confusion between masonic movement and the theosophical movement, at least from the viewpoint of the Blavatsky teachings.
Regards, Carlos.
