I haven't looked for this letter on the Internet, but I will now.
January 25th, 1878, Kenneth Mackenzie wroth to Francis Irwin, a
fellow member of the Order and a fellow theosophist; "I have heard
that Madam Blavatsky is the Head of the Order!"
January 2, 1879, Blavatsky wroth the first time (know to me, and I
have never seen anything earlier then this) to Yarker concerning
this order. In the letter were three subjects, concerning this
order. Sorry but I have this letter partly only in German. I can
translate it back into English, but I think we could fine the letter
somewhere (translations always lose something, so it is not good,
maybe Tillett have copied it from Yarker's archive?). The letter
hade tree mane points. 1. The ritual of the Order (Blavatsky, asked
Yarker to complete them, seven unfinished rituals was talk about).
2. Perfection, on other words, in Inner Part if the Vedas and 3. The
organisation of the Order.
See: R.A. Gilbert "Revelations of the Golden Dawn" `97 pp 5-6, and
Ellic Howe "Free Masonry in England". (I'll give more references
later)
It looks like Olcott's "Aryan League of Honour" could hade have
something to do with the Sat Bhai, but I have to look it up.
More later.
