Carlos, why would the teaching about "a Monad, a higher self, and a
divine self within" etc. irritate me at all??? Or too much???
OBTW I wasn't taking anything out of context. Only bringing forth
the comment apparently written by Mr. Judge which reads:
"It has been well said by H.P. Blavatsky that 'each one has a
potential black magician within.'...."
And asking that interested readers might consider this quote in
COMPARISON with what Julia Ver Planck quotes from a Master's letter:
"What is our present Duty? Hear the words of the Master. 'Judge
the action, not the person. You never know the true motives. Never
judge human nature on its lowest level. Every one has a potential
Dugpa in him.' "
Julia adds a footnote to this quote:
"Dugpa, black magician; one devoted wholly to self. This [quotation
above] and other quotations [later in this same article] are from
the private letters of the Adept."
And then I was giving Jake's previous assessment of the Master's
quote.
Jake's assessment was:
"Pure dugpa BS!..."
"The pseudo-teacher says that 'each of us has a dugpa inside
of us.'"
But see all the relevant material at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theos-talk/message/36478
and
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theos-talk/message/36511
BOTTOMLINE: I was just wondering if Jake ALSO considered the quote
attributed to H.P. Blavatsky as "pure dugpa BS".
Again, Carlos, you comment:

magicians" within???

Good grief, Carlos! Are you suggesting that someone is recommending
anyone to visualize "black magicians" within????
These are simply quotes from THE PATH in 1889. And I think students
have a right to discuss them and try to assess such statements as
those made by Jake.
