American Beauty Movie (1999)

I was watching this R rated movie which won 5 Oscar awards little while ago
and the last 10 minutes of the movie may be of interest to those interested
in theosophy.

In one of the Mahatma Letter, there is a description of what goes on when a
person dies. The person is sane and entire life is reviewed by the entity
much like watching the movie.

The leading actor get shot down and following this is a commentary much
follows above with pictorial representation of the early childhood and later
life of the person living.

One gets the impression that either the screen writer may have read the ML
or may have obtained the info from some other publication. What is note
worthy is that some of the info discussed in the early theosophical works is
slowly permeating the general population and one day in the future we may
wake up to find that the public has imbibed some of the key concepts put out
in the early theosophical literature.

If any one has a chance to view the movie, the last 10 minutes is worth
watching in spite of the rough and sexually somewhat explicit language in
the movie.
