Daniel,

If you did not do useful things, you would not have enough "perceived legitimacy" to be able to circulate in the outskirts of the theosophical movement. 

So, of course, you do lots of useful things.  And yet, you do other things as well.   Like John Algeo does, or the Coulombs did, up to a certain date.
