Cat Stevens

Cat Stevens

    Does anybody remember the popular
singer Cat Stevens from the early 70's?
(Mostly guitar & piano.) He stopped
his career and became a muslim cleric
for about the last 30 years. I don't
know if he was originally a muslim.
Heard he was putting out a new album
after all this time. He had a lot
of Dylan-esk type lyrics, nonsensical
but appealing for some strange reason,
and also lyrics such as the following
from "On the Road to Find Out" on
Tea for the Tillerman:

....then I found my head one day
When I wasn't even trying
And dearie I have to say
'Cause there's no use in lyin'
Yes, the answer lies within
So why not take a look now
Kick out the devil's sin
'Pick up, pick up a good book now
Yes, the answer lies within
So why not take a look now!
